Description
If you’ve feasted on patatas bravas at a tapas bar in Madrid, then you know why it is such a classic. Our Salsa Brava from El Navarrico is a flavorful, mildly spicy sauce ideal for this classic roasted potato dish. It’s the most authentic version we’ve ever tried!
Salsa Brava is a blend of fresh tomatoes, sweet roasted piquillo peppers, garlic and spicy smoked paprika (Pimentón de La Vera). It’s essential for the classic tapa, patatas bravas, but is also versatile in the kitchen. It makes a beautiful marinade for grilled pork or chicken. We like to serve it with grilled fish or scallops, along with grilled bread.
El Navarrico is a family-owned company that is passionate about capturing the flavor of fresh vegetables. Located in La Rioja, they use only hand-prepared vegetables harvested ripe from the local fields. One delicious result is their Salsa Brava, sometimes called the "Mediterranean hot sauce," although its spice is mild compared to your typical Latin American hot sauce.
This version is the best jarred Salsa Brava we’ve ever tried!
