Spanish Tortilla Flipper & Server

Tortilla Española (egg and potato omelet) is a classic comfort food in every Spanish home. Simple and delicious, it can be served hot from the pan, or later as a cold snack or tapa.

The only challenge in making a tortilla is during the last stage when you need to flip over the tortilla in the frying pan and slide it back into the pan while keeping it intact.

This beautiful ceramic plate is designed to make the process very easy. When the tortilla is slightly browned on the bottom, slide it from the pan onto the ceramic turner (which is easily held by its pedestal), place the empty pan directly over it and flip the contents back into the pan, with the uncooked part on the bottom.

Finally, when it is the right time, just flip the tortilla from the frying pan onto the tortilla platter, which now becomes a festive hand painted serving plate, which you can place directly on your table, the pedestal bottom displays your golden treat. Slice your creation into pie shaped wedges and serve. (Food safe, lead-free, hand wash.)

As each piece is hand painted in El Puente del Arzobispo, a small town made famous for its ceramics. The designs and colors of each platter will vary slightly, as with any hand painted piece.

What’s the best way to clean this item?

Handwashing is recommended to preserve the glaze and minimize wear over time. Use warm, sudsy water and a soft brush or sponge to gently remove any food residue. Avoid abrasive scrubbers, which may dull the finish.
