Alicante turrón is enjoyed year round, as a treat with coffee or a tasty dessert. Traditionally turrón was only served just before Christmas, since the almond harvest was in the fall. New production methods allow 1880 to offer fresh, exceptional turrón year round!

Only whole flawless Marcona almonds are used - the queen of the world's almonds. These plump, flavorful almonds have a soft crunch and are high in beneficial oils. They can only be found in Eastern Spain. 1880 blends them with orange blossom honey from Valencia and Alicante and carefully heats the mixture until it's delightfully crunchy.

1880 is one of the world's oldest companies, family owned since the 1700's. The 12th generation of Sirvents runs this venerable yet innovative candy maker, and we visit their factory in Jijona often, located in the same town as it has been for centuries.

What is the thin coating on this turrón?
