You can use this latex lined bota bag for water, wine or any other refreshing drink. Other than the practical lining, it is just as traditionally made as the classic pitch-lined version. Don't fall for the cheap imitations made in China - this is the real thing. Each one of our botas is made from premium local goat hide by the famous artisans at Jesús Blasco and branded with our Peregrino logo.

Crafting a bota takes a lot of experience and time. There are dozens of stages in the process of making a great wineskin. First, the leather of our botas is cut and sewn by hand to make a tight pleating. Next, it is turned inside out and a latex interior is added. Finally, the bota spout is attached and the final touches are made.

Our house brand, Peregrino, means pilgrim in Spanish. Many of the pilgrims walking the road to Santiago de Compostela in northern Spain carry a bota with them to refresh themselves and friends during their long journey.
