We served this recipe at our Paella and Sangría Party to rave reviews! It is a refreshing combination of wine, fresh fruit, juice and sparkling soda perfect for a hot summer day. We tested the recipe many times before perfecting our favorite sangría.
Steps
Combine the first five ingredients in your sangría pitcher. Stir until sugar dissolves. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving, but it is best prepared and stored overnight in the refrigerator.
When you are ready to serve, add the chilled lemon lime soda and ice and stir gently. If you would like pieces of fruit and ice in your glass, you can pour out of the side of the pitcher. Garnish each glass with a slice of orange and serve with your favorite tapas . ¡Salud!

The best sangria I ever tasted was when I was living in Ronda. A cliffside restaurant there added gin to the recipe!
Have had Sangria in many restaurants in the US and tried recipes at home – not only is this the easiest to make, it tastes exactly like Sangria from Spain. Perfection!
This recipe is the same one used when I was in Rota 33 years ago.
