Marconas are the queen of almonds, rich and flavorful. Roasted Marcona almonds make up over 65% of this finest quality guirlache turrón. Coated with a thin glaze of dark caramel candy they are a truly spectacular sweet treat!
Guirlache turrón is similar to the style called Alicante, in that it is a crunchy almond brittle. The deep caramel taste adds an extra level of flavor to this most typical of Spanish candies.
Turrón is the classic Christmas candy, enjoyed by families across Spain. Turrones 1880 is among Spain's finest confectionaries, based in Jijona near the city of Alicante. In fact, the two most famous turrones are named after these two cities.
Turrón originated from Moorish culture and traditions brought to Spain from the Middle East. Because the almond harvest is in November, and the candy is produced late in the year, turrón became adopted as the candy of Christmas celebrations.
Almonds 65%, Honey 12%, sugar, glucose syrup and wafers (potato starch, emulgents (mono and diglycerides of edible fats or oils and soy lecithin)). Elaborated in a company that uses: wheat, egg.

"OMG! This is so delicious. I bought 2 boxes to keep as gifts. There are 2 separately wrapped, 'bars' of turron in each box. I finished one box myself and didnt share! I am tempted to keep the other box too! I would be glad to try the other varieties of Turron now bc this one blew me away. Not too sweet, but oh so delectable. YUM."
