Valdezarza is a new entry into our olive oil portfolio. We feel it is a particularly fine example of an extra virgin olive oil made from picual olives. With an acidity of under 0.2 percent, Valdezarza Picual has a well-rounded flavor with very little bitterness. In 2008, it was awarded the silver medal for the best-flavored oil at the Los Angeles International Extra Virgin Olive Oil competition. As you first taste it you will experience flavors reminiscent of lemon, herbs and fresh cut hay but as the oil moves to the back of your mouth, you will have a peppery sensation caused by powerful polyphenols.
