All four unique varieties have been expertly cured, just like the ones fresh from bustling village markets across Andalucía!
If you’ve savored olives at a tapas bar or café in Spain, you’ve probably noticed they’re much more flavorful, and less salty, than ones back in the States. We were thrilled to open this jar from Dequmana and find that their olives that are just as tasty as the fresh ones we’ve had at the market.
Four types of olives, Hojiblanca, Gordal, Cuquillo, and Arbequina, are harvested in the Andalucian town of Carmona. Once cured, the olives are marinated in herbs and red pepper just as locals have done for centuries. Following tradition, they’re all natural, with no artificial preservatives which is rare for olives!
We like to share a dish of olives with a glass of chilled sherry before dinner. Their meaty, piquant flavors may surprise you – they truly are better than the rest!
This large jar is great for entertaining a large crowd, or if you are an avid olive eater. Once opened, the olives should be refrigerated. Use within a couple of weeks of opening.
